Print this page   To set up a news account please follow the instructions below: Launch Outlook Express Click Tools then Accounts Select the News tab Click Add and select News Enter your name as you wish it to be displayed within the newsgroups. Some people use their real names and some use nicknames, this is entirely the users preference. Click Next You will then be asked to enter your email address. Please note that many 'spammers' use search bots to pull email addresses from newsgroups and so you may wish to enter your email address as something like the following: user@REMOVETHISBITbtopenworld.com Click Next You will then be asked for the name of the news server, which should be entered as news.btopenworld.com (You should not tick the box 'My news server requires me to log on') Click Next Click Finish Click Close on the accounts window If this is the first time you have set-up this account in Outlook Express then you will be asked "Would you like to download newsgroups from the news account you added?"
